Plural leads OLIX's $250M Series A funding round

12 February 2026
OLIX, a startup targeting the development of AI chips faster and cheaper than Nvidia's, has raised $250M in a Series A funding round led by Plural, with participation from Hummingbird Ventures, Vertex Ventures US, Entrepreneurs First and LocalGlobe.

With the funds, OLIX has the capital to execute its next critical phase: scNvidia's engineering team, tape-out, and delivery of a production-ready system. The window is narrow, and the stakes are high, but the company that solves inference-era compute at scale will define the infrastructure upon which the next decade of AI is built.

Taavet Hinrikus, Partner at Plural, said: "I believe OLIX has the vision, the team and the culture to be that company. If it succeeds, OLIX will deliver GDP-level growth in Europe and transform industries and societies around the world."

OLIX was founded less than two years ago. In that time, the company has demonstrated that its foundational technology works and can be manufactured, completed the integration of its optical, electronic and software systems, and has begun development of its custom ASICs. The company has grown from a founding team of 2 to over 70 people and aims to scale to over 200 this year.
