Hanno Riismaa started his career as an auditor at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. After graduation, he moved to Zurich and worked at Philip Morris Corporate Services, auditing and consulting Kraft Jacobs Suchard’s confectioneries in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 1995, Riismaa has been involved in turnarounds of many food companies in Estonia (e.g. Kalev and Rakvere Meat Factory) and has held numerous board memberships in the Baltics and Ukraine. 

Riismaa became a partner in Scandinavian Baltic Development in 1998, where he participated in the turnarounds of Tallegg and Premia/Tallinn Cold Storage and became a partner in Askembla Asset Management in 2002. In Askemba Asset Management he has been involved in fund raising and managing the investee companies, namely Aeroc, Bauhof, Klick, Sportland, Starman, Viimsi Spa, Eesti Eine, My Fitness, Sonex, TD Baltic and Trials.

Riismaa has a degree in International Economics from Tallinn University of Technology. Additionally, he has supplemented his knowledge at Stockholm School of Economics and INSEAD.
